One such location is the awe-inspiring Ice Hotel near Balea Lake, Romania. Tucked away between the peaks of the Fagaras Mountains and veiled by clouds, every inch of the Ice Hotel is hand carved by local craftsmen every year against a magnificent backdrop. Standing 2000m above sea level, the trip up to the Ice Hotel via cable car reveals breathtakingly beautiful scenery as guests ascend through the clouds past snow capped mountains and rich forestry. Here, couples can create their ultimate white wedding by tying the knot in the stunningly carved ice church, located a stroll away from the hotel itself.

Guests have an array of activities to enjoy during their stay, including snowmobiling, sledging and ice sculpting master-classes. For an extra touch of romance, guests are also invited to indulge in a fairytale evening meal within the Ice Hotel itself. Accommodating 28 guests, the Ice Hotel can also be booked alongside two other, less icy, wedding party venues. Balea Lake Cabana 1 holds up to 30 guests, while the slightly larger Balea Lake Cabana 2 has room for 60 guests.
