As detailed in the floor plans below, each and every room at the Ice hotel is individually sculpted ensuring that each room is as unique as the next. Although temperatures in the Ice Hotel typically waver between -2 and +2 degrees, guests find themselves enjoying a surprisingly cosy nights sleep, particularly those who have indulged in a nightcap before bed. Ice beds are covered with insulating reindeer fur then topped with mattresses for extra comfort. They also have coloured lights imbedded into the ice creating a stunning, magical atmosphere when lit up at night. Bedding, further furs and specialist sleeping bags are all provided with storage and bathroom facilities located nearby in the Balea Lake Chalet.

Please note that Untravelled Paths prices do not come with any hidden extra costs, unlike other companies who quote ‘room only’ bookings at the Ice Hotel. You can rest assured that by booking with us, you will never be short-changed. We offer VIP cable car boarding which not only allows you to beat the queues but also guarantees out of hours services in the case of bad weather or travel complications. We also run the cable car regularly regardless of numbers, in comparison to other companies who only run the lift with a minimum of 10 people on board. Guests booking with us also have access to a room in the Balea Lake Chalet where belongings can be stored safely and bathroom facilities can be used when necessary. Breakfast also comes as standard.
